Is Your Home Appealing To A Burglar…Or Not?

August 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Home Burglaries, Home Safety, Home Security

What’s Your Home’s First Line Of Defense?

One of the most prominent things that stand out about this home is the ADT alarm sign right at the front entry area.  A random survey of the neighborhood showed there were not many security alarm signs - which make those homes a more vulnerable target.

As a burglar is looking at homes to break into, one of the first things he looks for  is  - does the home have a security system?  As you have built layers of protection with your security system, your yard sign is your first line of defense.  Your home will not be that attractive to a burglar.  He will more likely move on to another home - unfortunately to one of the homes with no alarm yard sign - as they will be more appealing to a burglar.

Make your home less appealing to a burglar by installing a good quality home alarm system.

Stay safe and protect your home and family!

You’re right, a home security system can do a lot to protect a home. However, in order to truly meet the needs of the homeowner, it needs to be the right system for the given application. Never contract with a company that doesn’t verify signal activations and ask for a guarantee on the system. Any reputable company will offer a performance warranty, an equipment and labor warranty, an emergency service guarantee, a false alarm fine guarantee and a satisfaction guarantee. Without a written guarantee, you don’t know what you’re getting.
